I live and breathe the Jewish world as I have worked in the Jewish Day School field for 35 years, first as a Head of School, and now as a leadership trainer and coach. So, community building and leadership empowerment – the very ideas central to the work of the Honey Foundation – are ideas very near and dear to my heart.
Given my career in Jewish leadership and in training leaders, I am aware of how hard this work is. The focus needed and support required for success are extraordinary. The project of fostering and empowering spiritual leadership in Israel is critical, particularly at this moment of Jewish history. Now, more than ever, we need strong communities in Israel to bolster our people, to give people a place to explore Judaism, to share, and to feel supported.
My husband and I focus our giving on organizations that make a difference and whose values and vision align with our family’s. When the story of that organization touches our hearts, we give. I also try to honor the legacy of my father Nat Taubenfeld z’l and David Taubenfeld z”l my brother by donating in their memories to places that were meaningful to them.
Our family invests to insure the continued vibrancy of Jewish peoplehood. I am very attracted to people making a difference and having an impact. The Honey Foundation for Israel brings all my and my family’s together in one organization.
