Sarah Lipsey Brokman grew up in Livingston, New Jersey and was infused with rich Jewish experiences from birth. From Jewish day school to camp, youth groups and trips to Israel, Judaism has always been at the center of her life.
She graduated with honors from Brandeis University with a degree in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies and earned an M.A. in Jewish Education at the Davidson School at JTS. Sarah previously served as the Associate Director of the Congregational School at Park Avenue Synagogue.
Sarah and her husband Yuval lived in Tel Aviv, which solidified her love and commitment to the State of Israel. Living in Israel showed Sarah that the options for Jewish life were limited, and she became a passionate supporter of organizations that looked to grow Jewish engagement among Israeli society.
In her role as CEO of the Honey Foundation, Sarah draws on both her experience in the educational world and her life experiences in Israel to help ensure Jewish life is available for all Israeli Jews. Sarah and Yuval live in New Jersey with their three children – Idan, Noam and Orly.
