Yaara was born, grew-up in, and now lives in Jerusalem.  Jerusalem is a foundational piece of her identity.

Her father immigrated to Israel from Morocco and was from a traditional  family, her mother was born in Israel to Holocaust survivors and was raised in a secular home.

Yaara’s own upbringing is a fusion of traditionalism and open-liberalism.

She has a B.A. in Behavioral Sciences and an M.A. in Nonprofit Management at the Hebrew University.

Prior to joining the Honey Foundation, Yaara served as the finance and operations manager at Nitzanim an organization which works in the field of Israeli-Judaism.

Her commitment to the work of The Honey Foundation flows from her deeply held belief that Judaism belongs to everyone and that this work will ultimately make Israeli society stronger.

Yaara is married to Naveh and is the proud mom of three children.
