Yaara Ben Gigi

Finance and Operations Manager

Mom. Excel enthusiast. People person.

Yaara was born, raised, and still lives in Jerusalem- a city that is a central and defining element of her identity.

Her father immigrated to Israel from Morocco and grew up in a traditional family; her mother was born in Israel to Holocaust survivors and was raised in a secular home.
Yaara’s upbringing blended traditionalism with liberal openness, a thread that continues to shape both her personal and professional life.

Yaara holds a B.A. in Behavioral Sciences and an M.A. in Nonprofit Management from the Hebrew University.

Before joining the Honey Foundation, she served as the finance and operations manager at Nitzanim, an organization working in the field of Israeli Judaism.
Today, she leads the Foundation’s finance and operations in Israel, driven by her deep belief that Judaism belongs to everyone, and that strengthening community leadership ultimately strengthens Israeli society.

Yaara is the proud mother of three children- Netta, Noam, and Inbar- who are her source of inspiration and strength.
